A Brother Like Ravana | Tamil Story

I want a brother like Ravana Story Line

A pregnant mother asked her daughter.

Do you want a brother or a sister?

When the mother asked whom she wanted her brother to be like, the daughter said she wanted to be like Ravana.

Startled mother, are you crazy? You say you want a brother like Ravana instead of saying you want a brother like Rama? she said.

Mom! What's wrong with what I said? Even though Ravana lost his throne, kingdom and life all because his younger sister was insulted, he himself captured his enemy's wife, but never touched her!

But did Raman abandon his pregnant wife because someone told him to? He set her on fire to prove his sanctity. If you want, let a son be born like Rama.

But I want a brother like Ravana, said the daughter.

The mother could not answer. She was shocked.

This story can start a discussion. But a closer look at the context of the story reveals a truth.

What is good and bad in this world is what we decide based on our personal assumptions.

Just because one indulges in fun does not mean one is bad.

A person is not good because he is a temple goer.

Both the poor outside the temple and the rich inside the temple ask for alms.

Our thoughts should be like a needle in a scale.
