A Lesson in Gratitude: Gopal's Eye-Opening Conversation with Suresh Story Line

Gopal was filled with uncontrollable anger towards his father, who had given birth to eight children while keeping only one small house.

When Gopal divided the money he got from selling his ancestral house, which was a common property, with his seven brothers and sisters, he got only two lakh rupees.

He thought of his friend Suresh… ‘Since Suresh is an only child, he easily became the owner of his father’s property worth seventy lakh rupees without any effort.

Me? I took a loan to buy a small flat and am still paying interest on it…’ Gopal’s mind was exhausted from thinking.

The next day, he met Suresh on the road by chance. “Suresh! If I were born, I would have been born an only child like you.

I would have got all of my father’s property. Look at me. My share of the property divided among the seven siblings is only two lakh rupees.

To be honest, I am even jealous of you,” he said with a sigh. “Oh my... If you have something, seven people who are the same age as you would come and stand.

But me? My children have no relationship like aunt, uncle, uncle, or grandpa.

Even on a birthday, we cut the cake ourselves and eat it ourselves.

But you celebrate even a small event with great joy as if you were your brother and sister.

On top of everything, some people come to fight because there is no one to come and speak for me.

What if there is no money, your father has accumulated a large property for you through personal ties.

I really envy you when I see you,” Suresh said. The anger towards his father was slowly starting to melt away in Gopal.
