How Kumaran's Discipline Led to an Unexpected Job Opportunity Story Line

Kumaran didn't like being at home at all. You go out without turning off the light You see the TV playing in an unoccupied room You see the pen lying on the stand.

He didn't like his mother nagging him like this for such trivial things.

He had been at home until yesterday, so he had to endure all that.

Today he had received a call for a job interview.

Once he got the job, he had to go somewhere out of town.

He thought that his mother's nagging would subside.

He left for the interview and his mother sent him away telling him to answer the question without hesitation.

Kumaran arrived at the address he had been invited to for the interview.

There was no security at the big gate of the building.

Since the door was slightly open, it looked as if it would be extended outwards and slam down on anyone who entered.

He fixed it, closed the door properly and entered.

Beautiful flower plants greeted him on both sides of the walkway.

The guard who was watering had left the tap on to turn off the motor.

The water was soaking the walkway instead of the plants.

The man who took the tap in his hand placed it under the plant so that it would drip and passed by.

There was no one in the reception area.

There was an announcement that the interview would be held on the first floor. He slowly climbed the stairs.

The light that had been turned on at night was still on even at ten in the morning. Although he felt irritated as his mother's reprimand for not turning off the light rang in his ears, he turned on the switch near the stairs and turned off the light.

A large number of people were sitting on the seats in the large hall upstairs. Kumar was stunned to see the crowd.

His conscience began to worry whether he would get a job. As he nervously stepped into the room, he noticed that the word Welcome was upside down on the mat.

He fixed it with his foot and entered.

While the young people who had come for the interview were sitting at the front of the room, several fans were spinning at the back.

Hearing his mother's question about why the fan was running in the room when no one was there, he turned off the fans and went and sat with the other young people.

The young people were called in one by one and sent out another way. Kumaran did not know what questions they would ask.

The interviewer stood in front in confusion. The officer, who had looked at the certificates, asked when you were joining the job.

Kumaran stood confused, not knowing whether this was an intelligence question asked in the interview or a sign that he had got the job.

What are you thinking, Kumaran? We are not asking anyone questions here. It is difficult to know a person's management in question and answer.

So we made the selection based on performance and monitored it with a camera.

No young man who came here has ever fixed anything that was wasted unnecessarily, a burnt out light bulb, or a broken fan.

He said, "You have fixed everything and we have chosen you.

It was a relief to know that the same discipline that always irritated him about his mother's conditions had got him a job today.

Kumaran's irritation with his mother subsided and he returned home happily with the decision to take his mother to the place of work.

No matter what mother does or says for us, there will be a better future.
