The Biscuit Lesson: A Fable About Misjudging Others Story Line

An old woman was waiting for a flight at the airport.

After hearing the announcement that the flight would be delayed, she went to the store to buy a book to read and a biscuit to eat.

She sat down on a chair and opened the book she had bought and started reading.

A man with a beard was sitting next to her.

After a while, the man opened a packet of Good Day biscuits, ate a biscuit and placed it on the empty chair.

The woman stared at him and took a biscuit and ate it. The man took another biscuit and ate it.

The woman was angry.

However, after seeing the man's appearance, she also took a biscuit without saying anything.

The rude man took another biscuit and ate it.

The woman thought, "Doesn't he have any shame in stealing biscuits?" and ate it. In this way, both of them kept eating biscuits in turns.

Finally, there was only one biscuit.

Both of them looked at the biscuit.

They were silent for a while.

The rude man broke the biscuit in two, ate half of it and left the rest on the seat.

The woman ate the remaining half of the biscuit and left to board the plane.

As soon as they boarded the plane, what kind of a bad man would ask for a biscuit and eat it? Thinking that there must be some people in the world who steal and eat like this, he put his hand in his bag to drink water.

The only surprise for him was that the biscuit packet he had bought at the shop was still in his bag.

So, did the biscuit I ate there for so long belong to that rude man or did I steal and eat the biscuit myself, he said, regretting his actions.

This fable teaches us that we cannot always judge someone's character by their appearance.

They may be good or bad.

Why, they may be more moral and have higher qualities than us in everything.

The flaws that we see in others to the point of being shocked are often those that we ourselves are carrying.

What is a little different is that we are secretly or in some other way deceiving ourselves.

The flaws that we have that seem not to be very bad when we look at others seem like ghosts.

Therefore, before we find fault with others, we should think carefully about whether we are completely worthy of it.
